Example Events
Naturally, each event will have some unique requirements. That said, we offer some examples below of types of events and venues that might share some tactical commonalities—as inspiration, and to give you a sense of what is possible.
SCENARIO: Play It Like a Rock Star
Picture it: the first riff of the famed heavy metal band’s greatest hit fills the air as fans begin to fill the floor for an amazing—and loud—night. Explorers Hall has a capacity of 2,800 seats or 1,800 seats along with festival seating—ideal for the kind of show going on that night. The mezzanine-level conference rooms make convenient and spacious dressing rooms and the lobby is an ideal place to showcase and sell band merchandise.
Explorers Hall has welcomed Megadeth, LL Cool J and Alaska’s own 36 Crazyfists, and many, many other exciting performers.
SCENARIO: Howdy, Y’All
Couples in cowboy hats and denim sway in the aisle as the country crooner belts out one his best ballads. Idlughet Hall welcomes between 2,800 to 5,000 folks for each show. The state-of-the-art venue accommodates most custom sound and light set ups and features dressing rooms on the second floor. Using the main lobby for merchandise sales helps to ensure everyone gets a chance to buy that new CD or t-shirt.
Artists like John Gabriel Iglesias and Foo Fighters and Christian rock band Third Day have played the Idlughet Hall…is it your turn?
